The biggest water fight in the world
Songkhran is the Thai new Year festival. It is also the biggest water fight in the world. It is most popular in chiang mai northeren thailand. everyong gathers around the old mote with their water guns, buckets and water bombs. its an all out assult . people are piled on the backs of trucks or just wandering around. completly drenched,. it happens from the 12th of april to the 15th. In bagkok it doesnt stop after dark so you dont get any time to dry off, they also use poder which can get kinda messy, so the best place to celebrate is chiang mai. its the begining of the wet season so everyone is rejoicing after a long dry fiery winter as the first drops of rain fall as the the heavens break open . its a great laugh unlike any where else in the world. hope u can join us here.+ - art , posted 04/07/05
